Some people benefit from just one or two sessions for guidance, while others prefer a short block of support over a number of weeks.

Online Occupational Therapy support sessions are delivered online and are typically 50–60 minutes in length.

The first session focuses on understanding your needs and goals. This includes a detailed discussion and, where appropriate, observation or assessment. From there, we begin to identify practical strategies tailored to you. Housing Assessments are only one session long and a report is then provided. Sensory Assessments, depending on the tier chosen, are generally at least two sessions up to multiple sessions. Online sessions can be once off or ongoing, dependent on client requirement.

A consultation provides guidance, strategies, and professional input without a formal report. A full assessment is more in-depth and includes standardised tools, detailed analysis, and a written report that can be used for school, workplace, or grant applications.

For housing adaptation assessments, a contribution towards the cost of the report may be available through your local authority as part of the grant process. For other services, this depends on your individual insurance provider; check with your health insurance provider if Occupational Therapy is covered under your policy.
